FAQs: FAQ

What is the availability and how can I book?

You can book, manage and cancel sessions via our website, just head to the “Book” tab to get started.

I've booked my first session but haven't received an email from you.

When you book your first session you will receive a booking confirmation email straight away and shortly afterwards we will send an email with payment details and the rest of the information you'll need. If you haven't received these emails, please check your junk/spam folder as they often get picked up by spam filters. If you still can't find them, please get in contact with us and we will resend them.

How much is private field  hire?

You can hire our dog park for 1 household from £9.50 per hour or from £7 per hour per household for a private group session. All sessions allow a maximum of 4 dogs per household as standard but please contact us if you have more than 4 dogs in one household.

How secure is the playground?

It is each client’s responsibility to observe the fencing of the playground before each session to ensure they are happy with its security. The fencing is approximately 5 foot high and the entrance gate is approximately 4 foot high. We monitor the fencing regularly but due to the natural environment we ask all clients to remain vigilant when hiring the playground as we cannot accept any responsibility for your dog escaping the playground.

What is the area like?

The playground is located in a quiet area towards the end of a no-through road. The playground has a good proportion of its perimeter screened partially by trees and/or hedging which offers more privacy during the summer months when the trees and hedging are in leaf. There is a public bridleway situated parallel to one of smaller sides of the perimeter, however this side is partially screened by trees, hedging and brambles. The bridleway isn’t usually in frequent use but there is a chance you may see other people walking dogs or riding horses down the bridleway. There is a sign outside the entrance to the playground requesting that people do not approach the gate or fence whilst the playground is in use.

Can I bring a friend/family member and their dog along to my session?

We offer 2 types of sessions at Four Paws Adventure Academy; private field hire for 1 household and private group field hire for 2+ households. Private field hire for 1 household allows up to 4 dogs within that household but please contact us if you have more than 4 dogs in your household. Group field hire is priced per household with up to 4 dogs allowed within each household. You can book a session with up to 4 households via our website but if you would like to enquire about a session for more than 4 households, please get in touch. Each household will need to complete and sign a registration form and agreement before they can use the playground.

How do I cancel a session?

You can cancel your session on our website but you must do so with at least 24 hours notice prior to the session starting, this is so we can offer the session to someone else waiting to book. If this notice period is not provided, the full session rate will be charged for the cancelled session. Cancelled sessions will be refunded in full if 24 hours notice is provided or an alternative session can be offered at the discretion of Four Paws Adventure Academy.

What is the address for the playground?

Our enclosed field is situated in a quiet rural location in Cople, Bedford, only 2.5 miles from the A421, 5 miles from the A1 and 13 miles from the M1. Once you have made a booking via our website you will receive a confirmation email with the full address and directions for the playground.

Do you sell gift vouchers?

Yes we do, click here to fill out an order form and we'll get back to you shortly.

Is there lighting at the playground?

There is no electricity supply at the field which means we are unable to light the whole 2 acre playground, however the entrance area has a floodlight with a sensor that detects motion. Some people choose to visit the playground in the dark with their own torches, but it is up to each individual to decide if they are happy to do so.
